Friday Morning North County Gaming Newsletter - 11/22
Yes, the title needs work but you can get all your North County San Diego gaming news here!
Hey pals,
Welcome to the first Friday Morning North County Gaming Newsletter! The goal of this newsletter is to summarize the important gaming events that happened this past week and in upcoming weeks instead of sending you multiple emails each week. Yes, we know we just sent you an email yesterday announcing a Pop-Up Game Night on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Eppig Brewing in Vista, Ca at 4PM…but in our defense that event is gonna be dope as hell. The Let’s Play A Game Foundation is joining us with A TON of boardgames and we will also be taking over the projector screens of Eppig’s golf simulators to play Jackbox games, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Videoball and a lot of other videogames.
In addition to our awesome event with the Let’s Play A Game Foundation on Monday, November 5, 2024 at Eppig Brewing in Vista, Ca at 4PM, we need to talk about our featured gaming event of the week.
FEATURED GAMING EVENT OF THE WEEK
The X-Men Pinball Launch Party at The Coop in Escondido, Ca.
How dope does this pinball machine look? We at North County Gamers have been anticipating the release of this machine for months and we’re over-the-moon that one is finally arriving in North County at The Coop
The Coop is North County San Diego’s best kept gaming secret. It is an arcade tucked away in Escondido that’s run by pinball enthusiasts. They currently have 22 pinball machines available for play but they’re only open on the 2nd Saturday each month. It has been a bit tricky to know exactly when they’re open, so you need to follow their Facebook page to confirm their status. Fortunately, we love pinball and we think modern pinball is the most exciting thing happening in gaming today, so we’ll make sure to let you know exactly when they’re open. You’re welcome.
Let The Coop know you’re coming to their event by RSVPing on their Facebook event page.
THE OTHER THINGS!
Man, we didn’t really plan out what to name these sections all that well, did we?
Full list of gaming events for this weekend and next week can be found here. We added a couple new events to the list, most notably a Beyblade tournament that happens every Friday at NinjaXChange.
Pokemon TCG Pocket has reported to have earned over $120 Million dollars since it launched on October 30, 2024. We even heard rumors that there’s going to be tournaments soon at the NinjaXChange in Carlsbad. We’ll let you know if and when that happens.
Our charity fundraiser for 1Up On Cancer is on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Aztec Brewery in Vista, Ca and will feature a Mario Kart competition with local jazz band, The Soto Six, performing the Mario Kart Soundtrack.
The trading card game Union Arena is having a new set released this week based around the anime Jujutsu Kaisen and several local shops are having events for this set release.
No gaming events next Thursday as it is Thanksgiving. Play some games with your family and try not to argue too much.
Throwback Gamez in Oceanside is having a Black Friday sale and they’re having special deals for those brave enough to shop between the hours of 8AM and 9AM. Definitely check them out as they have been supporters of ours since the beginning and we adore them.
We started a Meetup.com group! Join it!
That will do it for this week, now get out of your house and go play games with people in the real world.
